Q: What are the advantages of
Konect Elite in comparison to desktop-to-desktop solutions such as Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection?
A: There are several to consider. Desktop-to-desktop solutions require costly software resources to be installed and maintained on each host PC, utilizing all available licenses for one product. In this desktop-to-desktop environment only one user can be logged on to the host PC at any time. And these solutions do not allow you to limit access to applications and resources based on security.
Konect Elite is deployed on your server.
Konect Elite centralizes software deployment from your server delivering applications,
desktops and resources to only the right people when needed. Konect Elite allows multiple users access to the same networked resources at any give time. And
Konect Elite centralizes application and desktop resources saving companies time
and IT administrative resources.

Q: What are the differences between
Konect Elite and Microsoft
Remote Desktop Services?
A: Microsoft today, and even with the release of Windows Server 2008R2,
still only provides a partial solution to meet the needs of SMEs.
SMEs are not small versions of enterprise customers. SMEs need
out-of-the-box solutions that are simple and cost effective. Konect Elite
integrates, and most importantly, simplifies the Microsoft RDS multiple manager building
blocks SMEs must contend with for application and desktop management, delivering a single, simplified, easy to
use, multi-server management finterface IT administrators can work
from.

Q: How are
Konect Elite and pcAnywhere™ or GoToMyPC® different?
A: pcAnywhere and GoToMyPC are desktop-to-desktop solutions which allow one user to access one host computer from a remote location. In contrast to the limitations of these one-to-one solutions,
Konect Elite is a serverware
software solution that allows many users to access the same networked resources from a remote location.

Q: Why would I choose
Konect Elite if I am currently using Citrix?
A: Have you attempted to call up Citrix or a Citrix reseller to get
product support for a 5 user license? Good Luck! Bottom Line: SME support
needs are different.
1. Support resources that are
specifically trained and geared for the needs of small and mid size
businesses are different than for large enterprise. For example, if one
support person has to one minute be helping a big global customer and then
switch gears and try and help out a small office, it's a night-and-day
experience. desktopsites focuses on the small customers needs as opposed to
trying to play both ends of the spectrum.
2. SMEs are not datacenters.
Enterprise broker offerings, such as Citrix ZenApp, are absolute overkill
for the SMB market. A vast majority of additional enterprise features
provide unnecessary complexity not required nor utilized by SMEs.
desktopsites' desktop virtualization solution
delivers core features SMEs need on a Microsoft centric platform.
3. Microsoft-Centric Platform.
desktopsites desktop virtualization solution is a
Microsoft specific platform, not platform agnostic. 98% of SMEs are
Microsoft centric. Konect Elite reduces any confusion, cost and
complexity of introducing any third party agnostic platforms.
4. Citrix is expensive. Even
with the new FlexCast® license offering from Citrix, it's not
even the cost of the software licenses that becomes expensive. Rather, the
additional support and maintenance fees that become associated with the
licenses becomes out of the reach for the vast majority of SMEs.
